Ormeau Sports Park

The fields at Ormeau Sports Park are looking fantastic and the clubhouse has been welcomed by the Ormeau Bulldogs AFL Club. The Club was voted the number 1 Club this year and the Under 12's were successful in winning the Club's first Premiership in its short history. Congratulations to everyone!

Pimpama Sports Fields

New sports fields are set to come on line at the PImpama Rivers Estate adjacent to Reedmans Road Ormeau. The excact use/club is yet to be identified, but I continue to work with the Officers at Council to establish the most beneficial outcome. Other fields are also due at Gainsborough Greens.

At Yatala we are considering the establishment of a Rugby Union Club on David Arbon Park. It will be good to see those fields finally put to a use which will be beneficial for locals.

Leash free dog exercise areas

There are several within Division 1 including 4 fully fenced areas at Jacob Court Reserve, Gannon Way Upper Coomera, Maidenwell Road Jacobs Ridge Estate. Vennor Drive Ormeau and Rufous Whistler Park on Rifle Range Road at Pimpama. There is also a large fenced leash free area adjacent to the Coomera Watersports Club just south of the Coomera River.

Jacobs Well skate park

It's great to see the youth of Jacobs Well taking great pride in the new skate facilities adjacent to the tennis courts at Jacobs Well. Congratulations to everyone involved in this joint initiative where the Community Assosication and kids of the area raised funds to install the base and the ramps were funded through the Division 1 budget. A real success story for the area and one I hope can be repeated in other communities.
